Vote Ginger, Vote Often

"Hospital sign? What hospital sign?&quotAt last - the news I've been waiting for all these months! Ginger Rogers, Ginger Spice, Chris Evans... stand aside. Make way for the greatest role model known to carrot-tops.

I know I was a bit sceptical at first, but I soon recognised the wonderful political campaigning skills of this woman and now I'm her greatest advocate.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes are offering odds of 10-1 against Hazel winning the deputy leadership (click on "specials", "politics"). Rush and put your money on, before the price is cut to a more realistic level. Bets can be placed at the Ladbroke Coral leisure casino and gentlemen's lounge, The Old Town Hall, The Narrow Way, Mare Street, Hackney.

Ladbokes seem to have closed the book on the DPM. Now they are only offering odds on the date of Tony leaving and who will take over. So what do they know that the rest of us don't?

Have you seen the odds on the next PM:

Gordon Brown 1/10
David Miliband 10/1
John Reid 12/1
Alan Johnson 14/1
Alan Milburn 33/1
Hilary Benn 33/1
Others squillions/1

Must be worth a small flutter, surely?
