Hazel Nuts

My little ginger chipmunk has been out and about collecting nuts support by the fistful recently, She's truly got what US politicians call "mo" - momentum - right now (although perhaps that's a slightly tasteless comment for me to make less than two years after the demise of the former Northern Ireland Secretary).

"Lady Chattery" with the Head Gardener at Christie HospitalI was thrilled to read this piece in The Times the other day. Ann Treneman's comments were a bit tortuous so I didn't really get all of it, but I'm sure it was a great vote of support for her campaign. Here's a brief quote from Ann's article:

"But how would she differ from John Prescott? 'Well,' she said, giggling. 'I’m small and I’m a woman which will be very different indeed!' Plus, she chirped, she had energy. Indeed, she is like one of those battery- operated rabbits who just never stops. We shuffled out, ears almost bleeding, to a rallying cry from the campaign manager, Caroline Flint, perhaps best known as Minister for Obesity. 'Hazel Blears doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. She gets out there. She’s a great motivator. There are no no-go areas for Hazel Blears!' I suspect this is true. If only there were, the world would be a much quieter place."
