Number 10 Out Of Reach For Tory Pygmies

The Torygraph has just published its list of the 100 most influential people on the right in Britain in an article written by Tory blogger Iain Dale and someone I've never heard of from Kingston University (probably the chap who's been cyber-stalking Rupa Huq). The list was compiled by a group of ten journalists, MPs and commentators and the eligibility criteria were to live and work in the UK and be on the right of centre of British politics.

The top 25 of "The Right List" are detailed below. The list was published to coincide with the Tory Party Conference in... um... where is it? I seem to have missed the TV coverage. I must have been watching dispatches from Iraq.

A group of pathetic little Tories (and Ulster Unionists) with nothing substantial to add to British politics. With one exception. When it came to Number 10 in the list, they just couldn't come up with anything convincing. Try to link a Tory with Number 10 and you come up with... a big fat blank. So I'm not at all surprised to see this number reserved for someone who can truly grace the position. A political giant in a world of Tory pygmies.

I can see why Tony Blair would be included in The Right List, but some of the other people seem a bit too left wing.

With you as number 72 in Tory Iain Dale's political bloggers league it must be dissapointing not to be up there with Tony in this Top 100 right oners list. Obviously your pretentious but irrelevant spoofster wouldn't have got a look in.

There's a world of difference between being 72nd most important blogger and 10th most important person. We bloggers are far more influential.
