One of them is convincing as Morecambe but surely, neither of them is convincing as Wise?

It was always said of Eric and Ernie sharing a bed that it depicted a purely platonic relationship and merely continued the tradition of comic partners sleeping in the same bed that began almost a century ago with silent comedy's greatest duo.

How fitting - Laurel & Hardy, Morecambe & Wise, Akehurst & Blears.

Cannon & Ball, Little & Large, The Chuckle Brothers, Griff Rhys Jones & Mel Smith, Fatty Arbuckle & Buster Keaton, and now Akehurst & Blears.

I wish I could find a partner to perform with ... (sigh)
