I'm interested to find out who the 250,000-ish people are who read this blog most days but never post a comment.
In porn-speak you are known rather insultingly as "lurkers" - I prefer "potential New Labour supporters who have yet to get round to coming out of the closet". So in the spirit of the "stitch-in-time" meetings that Wealden Embroidery Group have on a Tuesday night, this post is an online "closet opening meeting".
Isn't new technology wonderful? My stats package shows me exactly who logs onto the site, where they are located, which ISP they connect to and the name of the local area network their PC is connected to.
So, on the basis of this information, I would love to chat with the several different readers who logged on regularly over the House of Commons network this month.
As you know, I'm quite fond of wind turbines - as long as they don't blow into the windows of my flat - so perhaps you chaps would like to break your silence, say hi, and tell us a bit about who you are and which constituency you represent, why you read the site (is it because you agree with it or you enjoy being wound up by things you disagree with?) and any suggestions you have (e.g. topics I should post more about).
