Laying Down The Law

A friend of mine just emailed me this photograph, after watching tonight's episode of Simon Sharma's "The Power of Art". He tells me that it has some connection with an article I posted recently, although I can't for the life of me see which one. Still, I'm sure he's right, and if anyone can see the link between this depiction of a poodle addressing a respectful audience of dogs and one of my postings, perhaps you will let me know.
Lord Goldsmith, Laying Down The Law

Laying Down the Law. Sir Edwin Landseer. 1840. Oil on canvas.

It looks like the poodle may be suffering delusions of bulldoggery and be in need of some veterinary treatment.
