Neal Lawson has been Down Under. Unfortunately for the British Labour Party he had a return ticket.
The Big Mouth of Compass has the arrogance to address underlying values and cultural issues, rather than the superficial material issues that have returned three consecutive Labour governments and propelled Gordon Brown to the verge of greatness.
In a speech redolent of the most self-indulgent polemics of Comrade Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, Lawson recently said: "Economics is the means. The end aim is to change the soul".
How dare he quote Margaret Thatcher's wonderful 1981 speech! Only The Great Leader is allowed to quote the Great Mistress.

Where's that Davidovitch fellow? Didn't he used to be in the picture as well?
