Not Clever At All

God, I need a stiff sherryIt seems tonight that the Ealing Southall Tory campaign is allegedly not that up to speed with electoral law, resulting in a police enquiry.

Unfortunately, it also seems that there may have been a more serious breach of election law, involving someone allegedly impersonating a member of the Conservative campaign team.

I'm no expert in such matters, but I rather fancy that an offence of the former type might lead to a fine, whereas an offence of the latter type might lead to a prison sentence.

So I do hope that the original source of this information was the joke that I think it was (if I've got this right, and I think I've identified the source), given the name of "the partisan scumbag and pretend-blogger" named in the offending blog.
