There's an ugly rumour going the rounds that this despicable and pathetic piece of anti-Blair nonsense will propel the anarchist band Ugly Rumours into the charts this weekend with their George Galloway-inspired rubbish - a rework of Edwin Starr's "War (What Is It Good For?)" - making them the first unsigned act ever to make the official top twenty.
I'll tell you what war is good for. It's good for maintaining the peace and prosperity of this country. It's good for preventing terrorists and dictators from taking over our country and eating our babies. It's good for keeping ASBO louts off the streets by giving them something useful to do. It's the right policy for anyone who can't stand the sort of namby-pamby pacifist who would say something like: "Mine is the first generation able to contemplate the possibility that we may live our entire lives without going to war or sending our children to war". Huh!
This piece of filth will only succeed if people visit the anarchist website and download the single. So you know what not to do. Don't watch the promo clip below, either. It's just sickening for anyone who supports New Labour and everything we've done for this great country of ours.
Note to the peasantry: Don't let these Trotskyites fool you. When it suddenly goes dark late this evening and the moon turns red it's not a signal from the Big Socialist in the sky that the end is nigh for the New Labour Project.
It's just total eclipse of the moon. Nothing to worry about. Honest.
